I do not understand how the exclude-/include-patterns work - in spite of
heavy man-page- und WWW-reading :-( I am trying to backup only some
files with dirvish but I get not the result that I want.
Find more details below - You are my last hope ;-)
Best regards and a happy new year 2015,
My directory structure which contains some of the files to backup is as
I only want to backup the following files which I put with a "+" into
the exclude-option of the bank's default.conf:
- all Files and directories in /usr/local, /volume1/optware, etc.
- all Files and directories in /root
- 4 Files which lay in /etc
- all files in /etc/ssh
And in my master.conf there is an exclude-option, too:
======exclude-option in master.conf=========
As result of a "dirvish --vault ds213j --init" only the following 4
files are backuped:
ACTION: rsync -vrltH --delete -c -x --stats -pgo --numeric-ids -D
sending incremental file list
