I vaguely remember reading (I think it might have been in the MD or LVM man
pages) that RAID-ing swap space was not necessary in kernel 2.6 (and
possibly 2.4), because if you add multiple swap areas, the OS will balance
the swapping-load among them to achieve the same effect without the
management overhead of RAID. You might be working harder than you need to.
